Impaired Driving PSA
I was in charge of the post-production for this PSA video for the City of Corona Police Department. The PSA is already set up to be an emotional piece since it covers the infamous car crash of Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart, which killed him and two other passengers. However, we hear from the fourth passenger and the lone survivor of the car crash, Jon Wilhite. I primarily used the audio from Jon's interview to tell the story, and mixed in archival, stock, and little interview footage to form the visuals. Of course there are LUTs and templates used over the stock footage to match with the look of the archival footage. In addition with some sound mixing and foley, this PSA stands tall to inform people to not drink and drive.
Pickleball Highlight
I produced and edited this highlight video for the City of Corona showcasing the cooperation between the city government and the community to repurpose tennis courts into pickleball courts. I organized production days with city officials and local residents, interviewed them myself with imperative questions, and I edited the video as well. The project in its entirety took about 2 weeks to finish and is now published on the city's various social platforms.
Mr. & Mrs. Anthony
This was the first wedding that I covered, and I did it all by myself. I was operating two Sony cameras, which mainly consisted of one getting static shots and the other was attached to my hip using a gimbal to get smooth movements. I also had the chance to get some drone shots with my DJI Mavic for some unique overheads. I only met the Anthonys the day before so I had little time to prepare, but after going through hours worth of footage and whittling it all down to a 7 minute video I think I got the best outcome.
Parking Space Comedy Show
I work with producers for smaller events to coordinate the best way to capture a show. Parking Space is a comedy show in Venice Beach hosted by Jimmy Berry, and this is one of his sets of the night. For this event I acted as Director of Photography, a camera operator, and I edited this highlight video of Jimmy as well as other performers. During sets we used a three camera set up, two on both sides of a performer and a wide in the back, and I also used my gimbal gear to move among the audience and capture BTS.
Citizen's Academy
For the City of Corona I archived through months of footage to edit together a short highlight video of their Citizen's Academy program to be used on their various social media platforms. Numerous versions were made and discussed with through several city department heads to ensure a clear message and image was presented to Corona citizens.
BoxPort
At the time it was the biggest project I undertook. I directed, produced, wrote, and starred in my first short film, BoxPort. The film is about two friends that must make things right when a burglar uses their teleporting boxes to start trouble. It took about 3 months to film and edit, and I don't think it's half bad for my first try. I plan to produce similar projects in the near future with other like minded individuals.
Tascam DR-100 MKIII Tutorial
For the University of San Francisco's Media Lab I produced a short tutorial for the Lab's Tascam DR-100 MKIII Bundle. This hands on tutorial details how to use this Tascam model and some of its various functions, and presents other pieces of equipment that comes in the bundle. Since the release of this tutorial, it has thousands of views from students and other enthusiasts who are interested in learning one of the most useful pieces of equipment in audio and film production.
Cosmic Falcon Vlog
My freelance work includes editing vlogs, in this case it was for actor, singer and entrepreneur Michelangelo Cosmic Falcon. Michelangelo handed over dozens of video files of his adventures in Downtown Toronto, and it was my responsibility to find the tone that best exhibit the individual's personality. This includes removing clips if they do not contribute to the overall story, even if they're entertaining, and keeping the ones that do contribute.
DeputyDanny Gaming
Another segment of my freelance work is editing gameplay footage for independent parties. For editing gameplay it is important to know the capabilities of the gamer/performer, to see if they're actually good at what they're doing and if they have charisma. Overall it's just capturing notable plays, dialogue, and interactions the person has with other players. You must chisel hours of gameplay footage to make the person appear to be the best there is.
